TAFE Teacher on Staff

Congratulations to Mat, Production Manager at Paarhammer, for successfully completing the course to become a TAFE teacher and Workplace Trainer and Assessor. Paarhammer are committed to apprenticeships and ongoing training of its staff.

The course Mat took over the last year teaches how to plan, design, develop, teach, and create engaging learning options. It also taught him about leading group learning sessions, helping in workplace training, teaching work-related skills, assessing progress with tests and tools, and adult literacy and numeracy support. All these are important skills in training our apprentices and furthering the knowledge of other staff members.

The company has an outstanding track record in apprentice training, with around 60 tradespeople qualified since its inception in 1990, working closely with the TAFE Department of Federation University in Ballarat.

Paarhammer knows that continuing the company's fast growth relies on the skills and commitment of the team. With much delight we therefore congratulate Mat on his new qualification and raising the skill level of staff in the manufacturing plant even further.

Apprentice / Joinery

Exposure to work on computer operated CNC machines · Exposure to work with a spray-painting robot. Opportunities to learn the ins and outs of double and triple glazed windows and doors. Opportunities to learn how to achieve energy efficiency and bushfire safety · You will learn about assembly of basic components right through to working on prestigious projects; On-the-job training and other training needs are completed in-house, together with Fed hammer has manufactured energy efficient windows and doors since 1990 in a modern factory in the Ballan Industrial Estate, and we deliver Australia-wide.
